Notes from Deb

As you can see from the new address on the front page, we have moved!!! My husband accepted a job at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville and we found a new home with a beautiful studio in Athens, AL, just a half a mile from my daughter. We are excited about exploring the Tennessee Valley, Nashville and local galleries and museums.

I’m very excited about painting pet portraits.  I work from your photos (preferably digital) and charge $2 per inch.  I love animals and am discovering that painting animals may be my new “thing.”  After driving through an animal safari, I was able to get so close to the animals and found I could take amazing photographs right from my van which I can use for reference in future paintings.  In fact, I had zebra slobber on my steering wheel afterwards.  That’s really up close and personal.

Once we are settled I'll probably be exhibiting in the Tennessee and Northern Alabama juried art festivals. More on that later...
